school business manager questions

In addition to good general questions such as:
what qualities do you bring to the role
what should be the priorities for a successful Business Manager and so on

I would also expect some competency type questions such as:
How do you organise your work to ensure tasks are completed on time?
Describe how you manage your performance to achieve performance targets
How do you encourage colleagues / team to take ownership for their performance? Give an example
Tell me about a time when you have faced opposition from your colleagues / team regarding an idea or proposal. What approach did you take?
How do you drive foward improvements within a business?

You should also expect questions about budgets and reports such as:
How do you ensure the budget is balanced? What recommendations would you make in the event the budget had to be reduced?
How would you report financial information to Senior Management team within the school?

Finally if you are managing staff, questions about building relationships, team work and so on:
Describe a situation whereby you had to resolve a conflict between two colleagues or two staff members?
Describe some of the challenges you have had to overcome working within schools and how you established positive working relationships.
